Alumni Career Experience Sharing in Marine Physics and Engineering (May 03, 2024)
This event invited two department alumni, Li Ying-Tsao and Kuo Han-Sheng, to share their professional experiences in marine physics and engineering-related fields after graduation.
Alumnus Li Ying-Tsao works in Japan and currently serves at JP-POWER. Leveraging the oceanographic knowledge acquired during his studies, he applies his expertise to marine forecasting, typhoon forecasting, and related tasks. His work scope has expanded to include WRF simulation of offshore wind farms and the development of wave prediction systems.
Alumnus Kuo Han-Sheng currently works at Chung Hsin Engineering Consultants, where he is engaged in offshore wind farm planning. He possesses both theoretical and practical experience regarding the structural components and operational mechanisms of offshore wind farms.
The sharing topics align well with current government energy policies and address oceanographic science issues relevant to students' future career direction and preparation. Students participated actively with questions, and the speakers generously shared their professional insights and experiences for the audience's reference.
